Mr. David Michael Archer Sr., age 76, passed away on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28th, 2018.

Mr. Archer was born on March 16, 1942 in Chicago, IL. As a child, he grew up in Rockwall, Texas, where he attended High School. Mr. Archer served in the US Army from 1959-1964. He was a long-time resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Mr. Archer is well known for his service in the Car Industry selling vehicles to many people over the last 30 Years along the Gulf Coast. He was awarded Salesman of the Year on many occasions throughout his career. Mr. Archer was an avid Poker player and loved to play Texas Hold-Em all over the Gulf Coast and Las Vegas.

Mr. Archer descended from a long line of European royalty. His great grandmother, Katherine Elizabeth Holcombe (Whitten, married name) comes from the English Holcombe family. The Holcombe family ancestry was professionally traced and verified in the 1940s to Sir John De Holcombe, who was knighted by King Richard the Lion Hearted for removing the heads of three Turks in the Third Christian Crusade in the 12th century A.D. Being near the royal family as a knight, he met and married Isabel Down, a great granddaughter of King Henry I. From this union, the current Holcombe family and all its branches received her royal blood and from King Henry I. History from this point is recorded in European history records. Isabel Down Holcombe directly descended from the European dignitaries; King Henry I of England; William The Conqueror; Charlemagne who was the first Holy Roman Emperor and Constantine The Great who was the Roman Emperor who made Christianity the official religion of Rome and built Constantinople. There were many other ancient family members in Isabel's blood line including Helena, a Christian British Princess who married Constantine Chlorus, a Roman General and father of Constantine the Great; King Cole of Cold Water (known as "Old King Cole"); Malcom III from all the early Kings of Scotland (including Duncan, of Shakespeare's play "MacBeth"!). There are too many more to mention here but David's ancestry is passed down to his son, David M., Jr. and grandchildren. Rest in peace David.

Mr. Archer is preceded in death by his parents, Tull and Betty Archer; and brother, James “Jimmy” Archer.
Survivors include his sons, David Archer Jr. (Dawn Guidry) of Beaumont, TX and Keith Brumfield (Billie Jean Brumfield) of Celina, TX; Daughter, Crystal Archer Nelson (Jeremy Allen Nelson) Elk River, MN; 6 grandchildren, Logan Archer, Lance Archer, Blake Higginbotham, Emma Lauren Nelson, Brayden Matthew Nelson and Justin Brumfield; 4 great grandchildren, Tyffanie Higginbotham, Makenzie Higginbotham, Samson Higginbotham and Garrick Garza; and sister, Lesley Archer Anello (Joe Anello) of San Ramon, Costa Rica

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the United States Army (Fort Polk), Biloxi National Cemetery and Jeff O’Keefe, Jr. with Bradford O’Keefe for helping through this process and making all of the arrangements for the services.

A graveside service will be held on Monday June 4, 2018 at the Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS at 12:30 PM. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
