She graduated from Okemos High School in 1942. Received her nursing degree from the Sparrow Hospital nursing program in 1945. She continued to obtain further degrees and honors throughout her lifetime.
Jean is survived by her sister Margaret (Wayne) Musbach, 3 daughters, Nancy (George) Paresa, Rebecca Fort, and Mary Lynn (Tom Bossack) Britt, 2 sons, Daniel (Diane) Britt, Kevin (Susan Huntington) Britt, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Jean was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 70 years, Alfred Len Britt, her daughter, Leslie Karen Britt, her son, David Britt, 3 sisters, Ada (Black Huyck) Mead, Mary Lou (Black) Ramsey, Georgia Kay (Black) Kreider, and 2 brothers William Alexander Black and William Mackie Black.
Services will be held at the Okemos Community Church on Saturday June 9, 2018, followed by internment at Glendale Cemetery with a reception afterwards.
