Don grew up in Lindsay, Oklahoma. He attended school in Lindsay, Kemper Military Academy, and O.S.U. Don farmed and ranched most of his life and had also owned and operated Simms Oil Company. In his spare time, he enjoyed visiting at the coffee shop with friends, dancing, and spending time with his beloved cows.
Mr. Simms is survived by: 2 sons: Mickey Simms and Kasee of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Britt Simms and Erin of Carrollton, Texas, 4 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter
Mr. Simms was preceded in death b his parents Jack and Faye Simms
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 4, 2018 at the 1st Christian Church in Lindsay, Oklahoma with Rev. Dennis Yates officiating. Interment will be in the Greenhill Cemetery in Lindsay.
