Ruth "Nina" Garnett (Zimmerman) Holt, was born February 6, 1906 in Jackson Township, Ohio to George Thomas and Ora (Ford) Zimmerman. At age 81, she went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 28, 1987 at Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Nina was the second of five children. Her siblings were James A. Zimmerman, Mary Cathrene Zimmerman, Naomi Beatrice Zimmerman and Forest Zimmerman.

Ruth united in marriage with Lewis Morris Holt.

She was a member of Mount Olivet Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her husband, Morris Holt; parents, Rev. George and Ora Zimmerman; sister, Mary Cathrene Zimmerman and brother Forest Zimmerman.

Ruth is survived by sons, Norman Holt, James (Luvenia) Holt; daughter-in-law, Drusilla Holt; sister, Naomi "Bea" Pollard; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, two great great grandsons, nieces and nephews.
