She was the wife of Lawson N. Minneweather Jr. whom she married on July 5, 1933 in Harrison County, Texas.
She was the mother of daughter, Ozie Marie, who was born on July 26, 1926 in Marshall, Texas. Her husband preceded her in death.

"Funeral services for Mrs. Rosie Minneweather, of Marshall, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. R.J. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Scottsville Cemetery. After a brief illness, Mrs. Minneweather died Thursday at Marshall Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Harrison County, and she was educated in the Marshall public schools. She was a housewife and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Mrs. Minneweather is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ozie Marie Jackson, of San Antonio, Texas; eight sisters; and one aunt. Mrs. Minneweather's body will lie in state at Hayward Funeral Home until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday."
