Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 1, 2018 at the Collins City Cemetery for Joyce Gay Miles, 79 of Collins, who passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the Merit Health-Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg.
Interment will be in the Collins City Cemetery in Collins. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 10:45 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. on Friday, June 1, 2018 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.
Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
Mrs. Miles was born on January 7, 1939 in Beckley, West Virginia. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Mrs. Miles was a member of the Day Springs Baptist Church in Dobson, North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rich Hacket Woody and Olive Sisk Woody; three brothers, Charles Woody, Donald Woody, and John L. Woody; and one sister, Shirley Woody Meadows.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-two years, Billy Edwin Miles of Collins; two sons, Ricky Miles, and his wife, Virginia, and Billy Miles, all of Collins; one, sister, Rachel Blevins, and her husband, George of Dobson, North Carolina; one brother, Dale Woody, Sr., and his wife, Barbara of Lexington, North Carolina; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
