(Alternate birth and death dates come from the "Descendants of George Puffer" book by Charles Nutt (1915) per another contributor. January 4 to January 22, 1870)
The book dates don't appear to be accurate, however, because the Mortality Schedule states she died in February, not January. Yet, Lena appears in the August 22, 1870 census in Chatsworth Illinois, alive, and 5 months old. This means she would have been born in March of 1870. So, how does one die in February of 1870, and appear in a census in August, 6 months later?
