Martin Marty Allen, 87, of Waimea died March 11 at his Holualoa family home. Born in Chicago, he was a retired personal assistant for the state of Hawaii Special Needs program, real estate developer, educator, triathlete, golfer and U.S. Army Korean War veteran.

Survived by wife, Mari-jo Allen of Waimea; son, James Allen of Holualoa; daughter, Marla Jo Allen of Holualoa; stepsons, Buck (Jenna) Robinson of Richmond, Va., and Louis (Audra) Robinson of Honolulu; two grandsons and five stepgrandchildren.
