Funeral services will be Saturday June 2, 2018 at 1 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Lewis Bratton officiating.
Place of rest will be in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Saturday June 2nd from 11 AM until time of service. Those desiring memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Association.
Mr. William Harold Cates, age 83 of Dickson, TN died Wednesday May 30, 2018.
Born in Sycamore Landing he was the son of the late Thomas Judson and Della Rogers Cates and was preceded in death by his brother, Hugh C. Cates and his sister and her husband, Margaret and Gerald Mangrum.
Harold retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority where he worked as a Manager and was a member of the Dickson First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Reba Cates of Dickson, TN; son, Tony Cates (Melody) of Brentwood, TN; daughter, Kristie Sullivan (Tim) of Dickson, TN; grandson, Ryan W. Lankford; sisters, Jean Purvis (Bob) of Lebanon, TN, Joyce Boyd (Zach) of Dunlap, TN; sister-in-law, Helen Cates of Nashville, TN; several nieces and nephews.
