Charles graduated from high school in 1968 and went on serve his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He worked a number of jobs as a mechanic in the Illinois area.
In 1996, he moved to Wallace and continued to work at various locations. He enjoyed fixing and making things. He loved to be outdoors and spending time fishing.
Charles is survived by his son William (Brooke) Hatton of Marinette, WI;
grandson, Cameron VanAcker;
and sisters: Judy Powers of Kenosha, WI and Ruth C. Gregory of Bronston, KY;
numerous nieces and nephews;
and former wife, Mary Ellen Hatton of Porterfield, with whom he maintained a continual friendship.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister Patricia A. Watson.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 5, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Walsh, with Rev. Jess Berol officiating.
