Blanca was born in Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Francisco and Clementina Morales. Growing up, Blanca was very close to her grandparents. Even as a young child, Blanca was responsible and hardworking. She was the primary caregiver to all of her five siblings.
At the age of 14, she and Gerardo Reyes Jr. were married. Their son Ernest was born when she turned 15. Blanca was a hardworking woman who always put her children first. She was very strict with her son Ernest, doing her best to see him do right.
Blanca also treated her nieces and nephews as her own. She loved having her house filled with children. Every Wednesday in the summer, she always took her kids and nieces to Bee Creek swimming pool.
To support her children, Ernest Reyes, Samuel Contreras, and Amanda Contreras, Blanca went back to school to Charles and Sue’s to become a hairdresser. With her outgoing personality and strong work ethic, she made her salon, La Villa Hair Salon, a success. Her creativity was also evident in her clothing line, Ah! Bianca.
When she wasn’t working, Blanca knew how to have fun. She enjoyed many vacations to South Padre and Corpus Christi, as well as a trip to Banderas with Aunt Patty. Her favorite times were spent with her family. She always celebrated holidays at her house, where she enjoyed cooking for the family. She was a very giving and selfless person who was always there for others.
Blanca will be mourned by her sons, Ernest Reyes (Leslie Gongora), and Samuel Contreras (Julie Varley); daughter Amanda Contreras (Vincent Wright); grandchildren: Mercedes Reyes, Mariya Reyes, Lacey Reyes, Miranda Reyes, Ernesto Reyes Jr., and Ocean Wright; other relatives and friends. R5
