Joshua Glen Barnes, snuck out of this life at the age of 55, while battling Huntington’s Disease. He graduated from this mortal existence into Eternity in his home in Nampa, Idaho on May 25, 2018.

Josh was born on September 7, 1962, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Dudley E. Barnes and Grace E. (Morehead) Barnes-Menuey. Josh was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Josh was a hardworking man who labored in several different Careers during his life. Josh had a love for life and was always a practical joker. He was gifted a natural ability to draw, write poetry and songs. He also had a great love for his family and they were the most precious to him.

Josh is survived by his children, Brandon Barnes, Nicholas Barnes, and Brandy Barnes, whom he shared with his former wife April (Shaw) Barnes, and his son Braden Smith. He has 4 grandchildren Brendon Barnes, Landon Barnes, Jaxson Smith, and Gracie-Lynn Barnes; his mother Grace E. Barnes-Menuey; his siblings, Judy Sorgenfrei, Robin Maxwell, Heidi Lemcke, Becki Curtis, Adam Barnes, Rita Baughman, Johnny Menuey, Rhonda Alexander, and Melissa Watson, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Dudley E. Barnes, and he was blessed to have a second father John D Menuey.

Funeral to be held June 1, 2018, at 1:00 PM, with Visitation one hour prior, the Amity Chapel 2212 E. Amity Ave., Nampa, Idaho. Interment will be at Kohlerlawn Cemetery. All are welcomed. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Avenue South, Nampa, Idaho 83651.
