Jerry Moore Byrd was born in Lexington, Tennessee on October 26, 1934 to Clyde and Effie Byrd. He joined the Navy in June 1954 and proudly served his country. Jerry was married to the love of his life, Sylvia Marie Bussey for 57 years. He opened Byrd Mechanical A/C of Houston in 1975 and closed the business in 2015. He was a successful businessman due to his honesty, integrity, impeccable memory, and dynamic personality. Jerry never met a stranger and always had a story to tell. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. He retired to Riverside in August 2017.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Jerry Scott Byrd. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; his grandson, Ryan Scott Byrd; his sister, Jessica Crook; numerous nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Robert George; and his Louisiana family.

Jerry had a good life. He had lots of friends and golf buddies. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
