L. B. Campbell, born September 11. 1880 in Leander. passed away at his home Sunday night at 9:15 after a brief illness. Mr. Campbell came to Taylor in 1910 and was connected with the I. & G. N. {railroad] Shops up until 1922. He served two terms as City Commissioner when the commission form of government was first established here. For the past several years he had been connected with the City Schools, serving as engineer.

The deceased was a Deacon of the First Christian and recently was made an Elder of the church. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was married to Miss Frances Harris of Georgetown..

Those from out of town here today attended the L. B. Campbell funeral were: Lt. James W. Campbell of Wilmington, Delaware, Mesdames J. W. Campbell and J. L. Lay of San Antonio, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Richter of Houston, Mesdames J. L. Spivey and W. W. Alcorn of Fort Worth, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Lowery Foster, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard McLaughlin and C. M. Harris all of Georgetown and C. B. Campbell of Tulsa, Okla. …
