Wayne Webb, 97, of Lubbock died peacefully on May 28, 2018.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 p.m. at Sanders Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held, Thursday, 3:00 p.m., May 31, 2018 at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Wayne was born on January 3, 1921 in Quanah, Texas to Carl, Sr. and Alma Webb. Wayne came to Lubbock in 1938 was enlisted in the Navy from 1942-44, serving as Gunners Mate First Class in the Pacific during World War II. He married Evelyn Raybon on February 5, 1944. She preceded him in death in 2011. He owned and operated WW Steel Works for 50 plus years.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and a sister.

He is survived by two sons, David Webb and wife Anita, and John Webb and wife Cheryl; two brothers, Don and Richard Webb; a sister, Francis Thompson; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
