EULESS-- Laura Sue Copeland, 59, left us to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, in Grapevine, Texas. Laura wished to be cremated, which is being handled by Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine, Texas. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation in her name to your local Meals on Wheels. Laura was born Aug. 19, 1958, in Garland, Texas. She lived in Texas and Oklahoma for most of her life with shorter stays in Florida, Mississippi, and Alabama. She was a 1976 graduate of Putnam City West High School in Bethany, Okla., and attended Central State University in Edmond, Okla. In recent times, Laura had lived in Southlake, Texas, and Grapevine, Texas, and had recently moved to Euless, Texas. Laura had one son, 23-year-old Jesse August Copeland, who was the light of her life. Laura was a caring and generous person and was loved by her family and many friends. She loved to read and had a passion for the elderly, donating much of her free time to Meals on Wheels. She also spent a good portion of her time in Southlake working at Eubanks Intermediate School where she was a light to staff and students every day. SURVIVORS: Laura is survived by her son, Jesse August Copeland of Dallas, Texas; her father, Harold August Sanders of Tyler, Texas; and her brother and his wife, Scott and Ann Sanders of Marble Falls, Texas.
