Maurice E. "Moe" Moore, 92, of Allentown, passed away on May 28th, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was the husband of the late Helen (Winarsky) Moore with whom he celebrated 63 years of marriage prior to her death in 2014. Born in Iola, Kansas, Maurice was the son of the late Eugene and Ruth (Fegely) Moore and loving stepmother, the late Josa (Rigor) Moore.

Maurice was a graduate of Allentown High School, class of '44 and an alumnus of Muhlenberg College, 1951. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran serving aboard the USS Oklahoma City as a signalman during WWII. Maurice worked at the former Western Electric Co. for 35 years until his retirement in 1985. One of his favorite past-times was competitive shooting and he was treasurer and range officer for Queen City Pistol and Revolver League and a life member of the Guthsville Rod and Gun Club. Maurice was a life member and chaplain for the American Legion Howard L. Peter Post 576, honoring hundreds of veterans at their military funerals over the years. He was also a life member of the New Temple Masonic Lodge, Allentown.

Survivors: daughter, Diana Moore, wife of James Schlegel, Allentown, son, Kevin Moore and wife Shari, Allentown, grandsons, Kelsey Moore and wife Kellie, Land-O-Lakes, FL, and Spencer Moore, Franklin, OH, granddaughter, Shaylyn Moore of Breinigsville, sister, Joene Moore and brother, Scott Moore, both of Houston, TX.

Services: Memorial, 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 1st, 2018 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th & Hamilton Streets, Allentown. A visitation will be held from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Inurnment to follow at Arlington Memorial Park, Whitehall.
