Donald L. Freise, Sr. , age 60, of Union, IL, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 27, 2018 in his home. He was born on August 30, 1957 in Woodstock the son of Henry H. and Elvira (nee Heide) Freise. Donald was a retired butcher from Freise Country Market and a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Marengo. He is survived by three children: Donald L. (Angie) Freise, Christopher Freise and Michael Freise. His sister: Lois Reiser. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Henry W. (Jane) and Kenneth Freise. A niece: Debbie Freise, a brother-in-law: Floyd Reiser and a grandson: Gabriel Joseph Freise. Visitation will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 412 Jackson St., Marengo, IL 60152 from 4 to 8 pm Thursday May 31, 2018 and from 10 am Friday until the service at 11:00 am. Interment will be in McHenry County Memorial Park Woodstock, IL. Memorials may be made in his name to Zion Lutheran Church.
