Ron attended school at the Aldersville School. He began working with his father at the family farm and mill at an early age where he learned about logging and developed mechanical skills for working on equipment. He worked at a variety of jobs throughout his life such as driving truck, road construction, production worker at Formex, delivering propane, and finally as Fleet Manager at Perry Rand Ltd. where he was retired after 23 years. Ron was an early riser that had a strong work ethic and liked to keep busy. He continued to be active and repaired and sold lawn mowers and snow blowers as a hobby. Ron enjoyed helping others, vegetable gardening, cutting his own firewood, and spending time with others sharing his life experiences. He built two cottages and enjoyed early mornings spent working on his woodlot cutting his own firewood. He loved to travel and made several road trips across Canada and into the United States with his wife and son.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Ruth (Veinotte); his cherished son Ashley (Tara) of Alberta; sister Sybil (Don); special brothers in law Hartley (Myrna); Wade (Lori); Dale (Kaye) and sister in law Geneva (John); several nieces and nephews; special friends and neighbors.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Carl.
