Billy had resided in Ellington since 1991 and was formerly of Jefferson County, MO. He was a lifetime member of the Ellington VFW post 6043. Billy was a Sergeant in the United States Army and had served during the Korean War. He had worked for Chrysler Corp. on the Assembly line for 30 years before retirement. Billy was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing checkers, and was a great trapper. Billy had a great sense of humor and loved to play jokes on people. He was good uncle, solitary guy, who enjoyed his privacy.
Billy is survived by one son, Michael R. Grant of Sullivan, MO; one daughter, Donna Lomax and husband Marty of Ellington, MO; one brother, Ben Grant of Ellington, MO; two sisters, Dollie Crafton of Van Buren, MO., and Linda Sue Burrows of Van Buren, MO; three granddaughters, Crimson, Frankie, and Ada; seven great grandchildren and many relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by four brothers, Levon Grant, John Grant, Danny Grant, and Leo Grant; and one sister, Lorene Essie Grant.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the McSpadden Funeral Home in Van Buren, MO. with the Funeral Service following at 11: 00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ron Robinson will be Officiating. Burial: Van Buren City Cemetery.
