Last Thursday H.F.Casady of near Floris, OK was killed instantly while assisting in pulling casing from a well. The accident was unusual. He was working with two other men on a lever device. One man was on the end of the iron beam, the other was at the edge of the well looking at the fastening of the holds on the pipe and Mr Casady was in the center. The other men were holding the beam down to the ground and Mr Casady was holding the beam into place by resting his hands on the beam with the weight of his body. The hold on the pipe suddenly loosened and the entire weight of the long piping on the beam when the joint caught on the knuckle. The force of the weight on the beam threw the men on either end to one side, but it caught Mr Casady. The beam struck his temple, causing instant death. A physician was called from Liberal, but he could do no good.

H. Fuller Casady was 49 years old and leaves a wife and four children.

The funeral services were conducted by the Rev Williams, circuit rider of the M.E. Church of this dietrict. Mr Casady was a Christian man, having at the age of twenty-six accepted Christ as his Savior and we gather from those who knew him best, that he lived the life. He was generous to a fault, possessed noble traits and was a good neighbor. He will be missed by many of the people in the vicinity of Floris. The funeral procession was one of the largest that has been known in that section of the country.
