Funeral services for Vera Vernice Harris, 83, of Greenville, were held on June 1 at Coker Mathews Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Randy Daw, Mr. Richard Kellam and Mr. Frank Morgan officiated.

Burial followed in Memoryland Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Kris Ivy, Nick Stephan, Erick Harris, Blake Mays, Lynn Hudson and Ronnie Combs. Honorary pallbearers were Cobryn Harris and Justin, Dalton and Cameron Redmon.

Mrs. Harris died on May 26, 2018 at Colonial Lodge of Greenville surrounded by family. She was born in Onalaska on November 7, 1934, to Robert Lee Porter and Fannie Mae Billingsley Porter. She married Alvis Harris on June 27, 1952, in Prescott, Arkansas. She was a member of Creekside Church of Christ in Greenville (formerly Johnson Street Church of Christ.)

Mrs. Harris was the former owner of H&W Supply in Greenville. She worked at Kroger before going into the family business.

She is survived by her son, Lynn Harris and wife Diana of Emory; daughter, Debbie Ivy and husband Joe Mac of Point; brothers, Bob Porter and wife June and Richard Porter and wife Margaret, all of Hope, Arkansas; grandchildren, Erick Harris and wife Ashley of Emory, Kris Ivy and wife Shea of Caddo Mills, Kassi Mays and husband Blake of Edgewood, Ashlie Stephan and husband Nick of Greenville, and Matt Ivy and wife Mary Ann of Oregon; and greatgrandchildren, Emma, Lainey, and Charlee Mays of Edgewood, Cambralyn and Cobryn Harris of Emory, Chloe and Cadlyn Ivy of Caddo Mills, Justin Redmon and wife Lindsey of California, Dalton Redmon of Point, Cameron Redmon of Emory and Austin Ivy of Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; granddaughter, Wendy Michelle Harris; brother, Carl Porter; sisters, Louise McSweeny and Ruby McSweeny; and an infant brother.
