She was a native of Oklahoma and had been a resident of Sulphur since 1963. She was a member of First Christian Church of Sulphur.
Honey enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Survivors include her daughter; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; niece and nephew and extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Don W. Hughes; her parents, Hiram and Sybil Sandstrum; a brother, Don E. Sandstrum; and her favorite son-in-law, Larry Wright.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, in First Christian Church of Sulphur. The Rev. Dr. Bobbie Yellott and Rev. Frank Johnson will officiate.
