Darryl Landers Jenkins was born on May 22, 1944 to the union of
Lillian Leslie and Willis Jenkins in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He graduated
from North Division High School and went on to serve four years in
the United States Air Force. During his time of service he trained as
an electrical engineer.
On May 15, 1971, Darryl was united in marriage with Katherine
Donley in Milwaukee. They were married for 16 years. Their union was
blessed with two biological children and two step children. He faithfully
loved and supported them all. Following their marriage, he was also
blessed with one additional daughter, Michelle.
Darryl worked in Alaska and Greenland for several years with the
skills he acquired from the Air Force. Following that, he worked as an
electrical engineer at Miller brewing company for over 20 years. At Miller, he was a supervisor that helped design equipment for machinery. He was highly intelligent and enjoyed learning and teaching others.
In his younger years, he loved playing basketball with his friends.
He also enjoyed watching football, bowling, and playing cards with his
family and friends. He was known to be a great fisherman and he loved
to fish and camp with his family.
Darryl departed his life on Tuesday, April 24th, 2018. He was
preceded in death by his mother, Lillian; father, Willis, and sister, Judy.
He is survived by his five children; Kevin, Renee, Michelle, Regina, and Barbara. He also leaves to cherish his memory: brothers, Ronald,
Reginald, Gregory; sister, Yvonne, and former wife, Katherine and a host of other family and friends.
