Obituary for Stanley and Joyce Fuller
Stanley Chace Fuller, 68, and his wife, Joyce Wells Fuller, 65, of Donalds died Friday, May 25, 2018.

They are survived by their daughters, Wendy (David, Jr.) Donahue of Kinards, and Carrie Burton (Michael Harrison) of Laurens; grandchildren; Caitlin Wilbanks (Earl Agnew, Jr.) of the home, Isabelle Donahue of Kinards, Nicole Burton of Laurens, and David Donahue, III of Kinards; great-grandson, Kamden Agnew of the home; siblings, Bennie Wells of Kinards and Ruby Jean Point (Joe Miller) of Newberry; numerous nieces and nephews. They were predeceased by their parents.

Stanley was born on May 11, 1950 in Newberry to the late Harold and Ernestine Fuller. He was ordained into the ministry in 1980 at Welcome Baptist Church in Laurens.

He was the pastor of Winona Baptist Church, a member of Amity Masonic Lodge # 87, and worked at 3M as a tool and die maker. He had many special friends, too many to mention.

Joyce was born on October 1, 1952 in Laurens to the late Dan and Florrie Summers Wells.

She was a two time liver transplant survivor. She was a true blessing to many people and alongside her husband ministered to many. She enjoyed her couponing.

Stanley and Joyce did everything together, including adoring their children and grandchildren. Joyce always wished to live long enough to see one grandchild. She got her wish and also lived to see one great-grandchild. The two also treasured their time together taking trips to the mountains.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Fairview Baptist Church in Kinards with Rev. Freddie Garner, Rev. William Swink, and Rev. Monty Osborne officiating. Interment services will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Jim Evatt officiating.

The family will be at the home of Ruby Point, 54 Rainbow Lane, Newberry and will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry.

The family encourages memorials be made to the Whitaker Funeral Home, 1704 College St., Newberry, SC 29108.

Donalds pastor, wife die in wreck, May 25, 2017

The pastor of Winona Baptist Church in Donalds and his wife were killed in a single-car wreck Friday night in Abbeville County.

Stanley C. Fuller, 68, and his wife Joyce died after the wreck, which happened just after 7 p.m. near Honea Path, according to Coroner Ronnie Ashley.

The pastor’s 1995 Buick LeSabre veered off U.S. Route 178 near its intersection with Rock Springs School Road and struck a culvert, according to Cpl. Bill Rhyne with the state Highway Patrol.

Both were entrapped and taken to area hospitals — Stanley Fuller to AnMed Health Medical Center and Joyce Fuller to Self Regional Medical Center — where they died of their injuries.
