WORLD WAR II, KOREA
Charles W. Waller, 94, of Woodbine, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Southeast Georgia Health System Camden. Born January 20, 1924 in Cairo, West VA, he was the son of the late George William Waller and the late Kate DeVaughn Waller.
Mr. Waller had been a resident of Camden County for the past 11 years. He was retired from the United States Navy with 22 years of service, and served his country honorably during WWII, the Korean Conflict, and Cuban Missile Crisis. Following his retirement he was employed with Civil Service for 15 years. He enjoyed woodworking and was a master craftsman.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at 5:00 pm. Burial to be held Friday, June 1, 2018 at 12:30 pm at the Jacksonville National Cemetery with full military honors.
Survivors include his wife Marianne Waller of Woodbine; children, John William Waller (Penny) of Jacksonville, FL, Cheryl Ann Ross of Clute, TX, Charles Stephen Waller (Debbie) of Woodbine, and Robyn Gayle Sloan (John) of Jacksonville, FL.
