Danny G. Ford, 76, of Cedar Hill, Texas, passed away peacefully at the Midlothian Healthcare Center in Midlothian, Texas on April 20, 2018. He was born on November 18, 1941 to Chester and Ava Rlita (Brown) Ford in Athens, Texas.

Danny graduated from Cayuga High School, Cayuga, Texas in May, 1960. He went to work on the dock for Merchants Fast Motor Freight Lines and within a year, became a City Driver. He worked there until they closed in1997. He then went to work for Old Dominion Freight Lines and retired in December, 2017.

He loved to hunt both deer and elk. He was also a diehard Cowboys fan and watched every game he could. He loved to bowl and listen to classic cowboy songs. His first love, however, was his family.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents, one sister LaDale Till of Palestine, Texas, and one daughter, LaDonna Anderson of Scurry, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Pamela (Eggleston) Ford of Cedar Hill, Texas, a sister, Kay Hanks Hardy of San Antonio, Texas, a brother, James C. Hanks, of Maulden, Washington, a daughter, Carla Ford of Mineola, Texas, two sons, Sean and Tony Ford, both of Cedar Hill, Texas, 5 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at David Clayton and Sons Funeral Home, 200 W. Center St., Duncanville, Texas. He will be interred in a private family ceremony at a later time in Little Bethel Memorial Park, 1803 Cedar Hill Rd, Duncanville, Texas.
