Yrma G. Rendon, 69 of Greenfield, Calif. passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018.

She was born, September 24, 1948 in King City, Calif. She was the daughter of Juan and Angie Huerta. She was a lifelong resident of Greenfield, attended King City High School and went on to Hartnell College.

Yrma started working right out of High School at the RHP as a Healthcare Outreach worker. She also worked at a local Credit Union as a teller.

She married Ramon Rendon November 22, 1969 and then became a Homemaker and childcare provider. She worked as an ER Technician at Mee Memorial Hospital and was a nursing assistant at Planned Parenthood and retired as a Community Liaison at Vista Verde Middle School.

Yrma was a lifetime member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church parish. There, she started the New Image of Christ Youth Group, Catechist for Holy Communion, member of the Altar Society, Bible studies and Youth Group Leader; she started the first Democratic Club, the first LULAC Chapter in Greenfield. She also served on the City of Greenfield Community Police Advisory Committee. She was a member of San Pablo de Colores, LULAC and the Democratic Club.

Yrma loved to bargain shop, bingo and going to the casinos, traveling and being active in the community. She loved popcorn and a movie, especially watching her Netflix shows. She was a big fan of music and listened to all genres, especially with the ones she grew up with. She loved to dance like no one was watching.

Yrma was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her granddaughters and her cat, Hope too. She was passionate for her community. She had a heart for the youth, and wanted them to first feel the love of Christ and she encouraged them to succeed in their education and spiritual journey.

Yrma is survived by her husband, Ramon Rendon; children, Christina Rendon of Greenfield, Ramon Rendon and wife Basilia of Soledad, Tomas Rendon and wife Inez of Greenfield, Monica Rendon of Greenfield; grandchildren, Yadira, Araceli, Ashley and Gabriella Rendon, Sophia Medina; mother, Angie Huerta; Sister Angela Rendon; brothers, Henry and John Huerta. She was preceded in death by her father, Juan Huerta and brother, Frank Huerta.

A Visitation was held from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, February 16, 2018 followed by a Rosary Service at 7pm. A Funeral Mass was held at 10am on Saturday, February 17th. All services were held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 803 Elm Ave., Greenfield. Yrma was laid to rest in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
