Carol Sue Walters, 77, of Bloomfield passed away on Tuesday April 3, 2018 at Garden Villa in Bloomington. She was born on Sept. 28, 1940 in Sandborn to Alvin and Goldie Dollens and adopted by David and Phebe Allen of Bloomfield.

Carol graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1958, she worked at Walmart in Bloomington, enjoyed watching hummingbirds, camping and word search puzzles. She was a Boy Scout leader for 30 years, Girl Scout leader for 10 years and a member of the Cincinnati Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband David of 60 years, whom she married on Oct. 19, 1958; a son, Dennis Walters of Bloomfield; a daughter, Cheryl Oldfield; granddaughter, Tara Porter; grandson, Skyler (Nicole) Oldfield; great-grandson, Peyton Porter; and great-granddaughter, Arianna Oldfield, all of Bloomington; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both sets of parents; great-granddaughter, Yvette Porter; and sisters, Margaret, Betty and Jayne; and brother Gary.

Public visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield and 1 p.m. Friday until the hour of service at the Funeral Home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home, with Pat Arthur officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
