Bourneuf, Mary Ellen (nee Boggiano), Fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church,, Tuesday, January 2, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Wallace G. Bourneuf. Loving mother of Suzanne (Jeffry) Cupps, Lawrence (Rachel), Stephen (Vince Pesce) and Andrew (Audrey) Bourneuf. Dear grandmother of Brian (Katherine), Jeremy (Rachel) and Aimee Cupps, Danielle (William) Miller, Genevieve (Michael) Bales, Thomas and Alex Bourneuf. Great grandmother of Joel, Liam, Gianna, Lucia, Helena, John, Wally, Josie, Ellie, Rosie, Sylvia and Jane. Preceded in death by her parents Charles and Nell Boggiano, brother Charles F. Boggiano and sister Katherine C. McDonald. Our dear aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Mary Ellen was a loyal graduate of Visitation Academy and Fontbonne University and served as a volunteer for both educational facilities. She was a school teacher for many years in both public and private schools around the St. Louis area. Mary Ellen also volunteered at Birthright for over 20 years. She served the parish of Holy Infant in numerous areas for many years. Together with Wally they supported many St. Louis civic and cultural organizations and were big supporters of the arts especially Stages St. Louis.
Mary Ellen's greatest love was her family and she was very proud and supportive of everything the family did. She and Wally worked hard making a loving home for their family. Mary Ellen loved having parties and was the perfect hostess when surrounded by family and friends.
The family would like to offer sincere thanks to Good Samaritan Senior Care, Manor Grove and BJC Hospice for their loving care.
