GRACE, Idaho - A. Duane Robison, 65, of Grace, Idaho, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2002, in Provo, Utah. He was born May 7, 1937, at Clyde, California, the son of Ervan Joseph and Dorothy Louise Adland Robison. He married Marcia Ann Laird July 25, 1954, in Topeka, Kansas. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, April 7, 1964.

He was raised and educated in Kansas and had attended Kansas University and Phoenix College. He was a high priest in the Williams LDS Ward and had served as a home teacher and an officiator in the Logan LDS Temple and various other capacities. He had served in the U.S. Army from August 1955 to July 1958. He was an entrepreneur, Little League coach and president of Pop Warner Football. He also belonged to the Grace American Legion Post. SP4 U.S. ARMY is noted on his headstone.

Duane's hobbies included woodworking, all sports, tinkering, was an avid reader, fishing, spending time with his family at the ranch and he loved animals.

Duane is survived by his wife Marcia Ann of Grace, 2 sons, and 3 daughters and their spouses, Michael and Tina Robison, Grace, ID; Scott and Kaye Robison, Springville, Utah; Renae and Jeff Sommers, Salt Lake City, Utah; Gaylene and Dana Higgins, Corona, Calif.; and Amy and Robert Oberly, Gilbert, Ariz.

Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; his mother Dorothy Louise Adland Robison, Rossville, Kan.; 2 brothers and 1 sister, Larry Robison, Mesa, AZ.: Billy Robison, Topeka, Kan., and Kaye and Dick Robison, Rossville, Kan. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 14, at noon at the Williams LDS Chapel in Niter, Idaho. Burial will be in the Lago Cemetery with military graveside services by the American Legion. Services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home.
