Martha Jean Ford, 87, of Decatur died Saturday, May 26, 2018 in Generations at McKinley Court Nursing Home.
Funeral service will be 9:30 am Friday, June 1, 2018 at St. Peters AME Church (515 South Church Street., Decatur, Illinois 62522). Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm. Thursday, May 31, 2018 also at the church. Burial will be 12:00 noon Friday at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Riverton, Illinois. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.
Martha was born in September of 1930 in Decatur daughter of Herman and Beulah Harris. She married Norris Ford in March of 1948 and he preceded her in death in April of 2017. Martha worked for Illinois Power, J.C. Penny, Decatur Police Department and St. Teresa High School and was a member of St. Peters AME church.
Surviving is her daughter, Vicki Ford of Santa Barbara, California, son, Alan Ford of Decatur.
She was preceded by her parents, husband and son, Bradley, two brothers and 5 five sisters.
