Garrett loved to help at the family farm when he was in North Liberty. After graduating from Ft. Lauderdale High School in 1990, Garrett moved to North Liberty where he lived the rest of his life.
Garrett was an active member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Sons of the American Legion where he spent great times with his cherished friends and worked hard to support the fund-raising and memorial efforts of the clubs. Garrett loved riding his Harley, bowling, darts, and attempting to play golf! He was a big fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Garrett was employed as an Irrigation Technician with the family business, Williams' Expert Pivot & Pump.
Garrett leaves behind his mother, Marilyn Nace; brother, Paul Williams; and sister-in-law, Sara Williams; grandfather, Richard Pier; Aunt Patricia and Uncle Scott Pier, and Uncle George Dearing. Also surviving is his nephew, Ryan Williams; and niece, Jodi Williams, of whom he was very proud - despite them being Purdue Boilermakers! Also missing Garrett are many cousins and tons of wonderful friends. Garrett is joining his dad, Paul Williams, Jr.; stepdad, Jim Nace; stepmom, Shelley Williams, grandparents, and many other family and dear friends who left us way too soon.
Friends are invited to join the family for a short grave-side service at the Olive Chapel Cemetery in New Carlisle, Indiana, which will be held on Thursday, May 31. On Friday, June 1, we will be gathering for a Memorial Service to celebrate Garrett's life at 6:30 pm at the VFW Post 1954 in North Liberty, Indiana. Palmer Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
