Funeral Service will be Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 11:00 am at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow, NE with Kathy Salts PMA officiating. Burial will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery. Govier Brothers Mortuary are in charge of arrangements.
Kristie Dawn Johnson was born on November 28, 1976, at Broken Bow, Nebraska to Marvin L. and Linda K. (Trotter) Johnson. Kristie grew up in Broken Bow and graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1995. After high school she attended McCook Community College and later the University of Nebraska at Kearney where she graduated with an elementary education major. Kristie was also continuing her education to get her master's degree in guidance counselling. While attending college Kristie worked at Walmart for 12 years. She also student taught a Riverdale near Kearney.
Kristie loved teaching children. She collected Coca-Cola items and liked to watch Law and Order. She enjoyed writing poems. Kristie was always putting others before herself.
Survivors include her parents, Marvin and Linda Johnson of Broken Bow, sister Kelli and husband Nate Eilers of O'Neill, her nephew Gunnar Eilers of O'Neill, aunts and uncles Phyllis Berghorst of Broken Bow, Jan Trotter of Lincoln, Greg and Tammy Johnson of Oconto and Darrel and Chris Johnson of Oconto.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
