James B. "Jim" Rinehart, 76, of Galion passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Altercare of Bucyrus.

Born December 21, 1941 in Galion, he was the son of the late Levi William Rinehart and Helen Mae (Wilson) Rinehart of Galion. He married Betty A. (Moore) Rinehart on October 12, 1962 and they shared 55 years together.

He was a graduate of Iberia High School in 1959. Jim was employed by the former North Electric Company in Galion and later Fairfield Engineering in Marion. He then constructed pole buildings and farmed, and lastly owned and operated Rinehart Farm Drainage. Jim enjoyed mowing and yard work as he had a strong work ethic and working was his main hobby.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by daughter Kelly Rinehart of Bucyrus; son Brian (Kim) Rinehart of Galion and daughter Cheryl Rinehart of Bucyrus; grandson Joshua (Laura) Rinehart of Cincinnati; siblings Janet (Russ) Henkel of Galion, Gary (Linda) Rinehart of Lexington, David Rinehart of Galion, Beverly Throckmorton of Galion, Linda (Jim Shank) Rinehart of Galion and Jane (Delwyn) Ehrman of Leesville.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 12 Noon Thursday, May 31 with Pastor Joe Stafford officiating. Burial will follow at Iberia Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
