Clay was born March 30, 1935 in Guin, AL. the son of John and Callie Roberts Franks. He married Anita L. Rohs July 14, 1962. She passed away Jan. 26, 2007. Clay worked for John Deere Harvester retiring after 30 years. He loved spending time with his family, going to church and tinkering around outside. Survivors include his daughter Tara and siblings Roland (Bertha) Franks of Maryville, TN, Willadean Palmer of Guin, AL, Maylene (Kenneth) Harlan of Winfield, AL and Floyd (Beverly) Franks of Moline and several nieces and nephews. Clay was preceded in death by his parents, wife Anita, son Steven and brother Clifton.
