Warfield, Mary, 92, of Largo, FL, passed away on Tuesday, May 22nd. She will be missed by her friends and family. Mary was born in Baltimore, MD to John and Mary Leyh on October 5, 1925. Mary married her love, John Warfield in 1950. In the early 1970s Mary, her husband, John Sr., moved to Florida with their son, John Jr. Mary was a long time member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Largo. Everyone knew Mary was a strong prayer warrior, and in her later years could often be found sitting by a window and praying. In her working years Mary was an office manager for the Largo Leader and the Belleair Bee. Mary loved her family more than anything. Her greatest joy was spending time with them. Mary loved to share a meal with her family. Those who knew her best know that she loved to snack on chocolate and nuts...even better when combined!
Mary was preceded in death by her husband; John Warfield Sr., and their son; John Warfield Jr. Mary is survived by her beloved daughter in law and friend; Lisa Warfield, grandsons; Michael (Lindsey) and Joel, great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 29th from 4-6pm at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Rd, Largo, FL. A Rosary service will begin at 5:30pm, with words spoken by friends and family to follow. Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, May 30th at 2pm at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1507 Trotter Rd, Largo, FL, with burial to follow at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, 13401 Indian Rocks Rd, Largo, FL.
