Frances Woods, age 87, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born the daughter of Emory and Esther Howard on July 15, 1930 in Adelphi, Iowa. Frances worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield as a supervisor for 25 years and treasured time spent with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory include her step-son, Lloyd James “Jim” Woods; step-grandchildren, Randy (Cindy) Woods and Barbara (Bobbi) Woods; 9 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great-great-grandson; and sister-in-law, Patricia Howard.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd; step-son, David; and brother, Ivan.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW, Altoona. Graveside service to follow at 1 p.m., at Powers Warren Cemetery in Adelphi.
