He was proud of his naval service in World War II, where he used his mechanical skills on aircraft.
He earned a degree in engineering from Fresno State College and had a long and successful career at Cal Trans in infrastructure planning for our roads, highways, and bridges.
He retired in 1985, and was able to enjoy many of his passions, like traveling with his wife Regina, gardening, reading, and playing golf with friends. He and Regina would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this July.
In addition to her, Tom is survived by his son, Tom Jr., of Albany, OR; and his daughter, Beth, of Ojai, CA.
