Martha Jean Anderson was born May 12, 1949 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Edward H. Anderson and Lottie O. (Plyler) Anderson.

Martha attended Gurdon through the 12th grade. Upon high school graduation, she attended classes and received her dental hygienist certification. She met and began dating the love of her life William Dwight Francis on September 7, 1967. They were united in marriage on November 17, 1968 at Beech Street Baptist Church in Gurdon, Arkansas.

The Francis couple moved to DeRidder, Louisiana where Dwight was employed with Brown & Root Construction as a mechanic. A few months later, a job in Valliant, Oklahoma would open up with B & R. It was to build a paper mill known as Weyerhaeuser.

Two wonderful children soon came into the picture. Shortly thereafter in 1971, Dwight and Martha started F & F Automotive which is still operating today. At the peak of operation, they employed more than 20 employees. Martha worked side by side with Dwight for 25+ years before her health would not allow her to continue. If you ever walked into her office door you were greeted by a woman dressed to the nines. She was truly a class act. For those who had the pleasure of working for Martha, she was famous for her words of wisdom written on brightly colored sticky notes. She loved life, but dearly loved her family. She never missed any extracurricular event that her kids were a part of. Her vocal support could be heard on the field of play. Her children and grandchildren were her world. She would gladly do without to ensure they had it all.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Martha is survived by her husband, Dwight Francis, a daughter Jodi Storey and husband Michael of Idabel, Oklahoma and a son, Shawn Francis and wife Ashli of Hugo, Oklahoma. She was a proud "MeMe" to her four grandchildren Jordan, Chandler, Cole, and Jansan.

The family will receive friends and family on Friday May 25 from 6-7 in the Chapel of Miller and Miller in Valliant, Oklahoma. A funeral service will be held on Saturday May 26 at 10 am in the Chapel of Miller and Miller Funeral Home.
