Born February 24, 1943 in Milan, she was the daughter of Merrill and Julia (Morrison) Howell.
She married Paul Richard Reynolds Sr. on January 12, 1968 in Scottsburg, IN; he preceded her in death on November 14, 2005.
Marilyn was a 1961 Graduate of Milan High School. She worked at the Muscatatuck State Hospital in the commissary for 35 years, retiring in 1998. She was a member of the Pierceville United Methodist Church in Pierceville, where she was a Pastor Parish Committee Chairman. She also was a member of the Milan Legion Auxiliary, Golden Rule Club of Milan, Ripley County Extension Homemakers, and the Internationally Yours Friendship Club. Her hobbies included baking, playing euchre and bingo, and going to the casinos.
Survivors include a son – Paul (Tasha) Reynolds Jr. of Milan; four daughters – Lisa Clymer, Pauline (Lewis) Pate, Rose (Larry) Ashpaugh all of North Vernon, and Dee Ellis of Scipio; Several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, both parents, one sister – Cheryl Howell, one brother – Charles Howell, a daughter in law – Melissa Reynolds, and a son in law – Lonnie Clymer.
The Funeral for Mrs. Reynolds will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Jack Bible officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Burial will be at the Vernon Cemetery.
