Private Manning Hall was inducted into the US Army for World War I on April 27, 1918, in Southport, NC. He began training at Camp Grant, outside Rockford, Illinois. While in service to the United States, on July 11, 1918, Pvt Manning Hall died of tuberculosis peritonitis.
