When Hilda May Rudd was born 17th November 1893 Quebec Road Thorpe Hamlets Norwich, Norfolk,England ,she was baptised at St Matthews Church Thorpe Hamlets.Her father, William John Rudd was 38, and her mother, Agnes Ann nee Cook, was 33. She married Charles George Belgrave Kennedy Magil GRAHAM on 21 January 1914 in Olds, Alberta, Canada. They had four children in 16 years. She died on 4 January 1976 in Golden Hills, Carbon Alberta at the age of 83.
Hilda had 8 siblings, Agnes Ann, Florence Pheobe, Elizabeth known as Bessie, William John, Ethel Maud, Frederick Ernest, Dora, and Gertrude Leah all born Rudd.
Hilda's Father William John was born in Aylsham Norfolk and worked as a master Carter for Morgans Brewery in Norwich, when Hilda was going to sail to Canada on the Titanic to follow her sister Ethel who was already living and married in Carbon Canada, Hilda's Father William had a premonition that Hilda should not sail on the Titanic! and made sure Hilda took the next passage out which she thankfully did.
