MARIA "MARY" SANTORO, 88, of 395 Woodward Rd., a winder in the textile industry for 30 years before retiring in 1970, died yesterday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the wife of the late Pierino Santoro.
Born in Colefelice, Frosine, Italy, a daughter of the late Amato and Annamaria (Colantonio) Marzilli, she came to this country in 1925, living in Providence before moving to North Providence 55 years ago. She leaves three sisters, Amelia DeMarco, Lena Medeiros and Antonette Marzilli-Morrison, and a brother Rocco Marzilli, all of North Providence. She was the sister of the late Ida Palmisciano and Angelo Marzilli.
The funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from the Mariani Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Anthony Church, Mineral Spring Avenue. Entombment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
