Ricky V. Butler, 55, Ennis, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. Burial will be at Bristol Cemetery.

Ricky was born in Ellis County, Texas, to Billy Ray and Bernice (Tippet) Moore Butler. He married Darlene Renee Joslin on November 22, 1982, in Ellis County.

Ricky and Darlene moved to Navarro County in 2005 and stayed there to be close to his "girls" and grandchildren. Ricky would go to the ends of the earth to provide for his family.

Whether he was running the milk route or baiting fishing hooks, he did it with all of his heart and with a smile. He will always be remembered as the greatest storyteller of all time and for having the biggest heart for others.

Ricky devoted his entire life to giving to those around him; whether it be a helping hand, laugh or a hard time, he always gave his all.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Tippet-Moore Butler; and a brother, Vincent Butler.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Darlene Joslin Bulter; daughters: Amber Nicole Butler, Heather Leanne Butler Qualls and her husband, Joshua, with their children, Bailey, Cason, and stepson, Tanner, and Candace Lorraine Butler Jock and her husband, JD, with their children, Emery, Jase, and Hastiin; his father, Billy Butler and his wife, Connie; sister, Josette Butler; brothers, Cody Butler and Billy Ray Butler Jr; stepsisters, Traci Childers and Brandi Morris; other relatives and many friends.
