Susan was born February 12, 1966 in Whittier, California. She passed away May 23, 2018 at a local hospital.
Susan was a substitute teacher for Diboll ISD for more than 15 years; to her students she was "the best substitute ever." She was a loving wife of more than 30 years. Susan was a very devoted daughter to her mother and father before his passing and was a very loving and precious sister. She was also a loving mother to her fur babies. Susan was a member of Faith Family Church.
Survivors include her husband and best friend, George Wells; daughter, DeShea Phelps; son, Robert Duane Bettis; mother, Linda Louise Blake; sisters, Diane Hilton and husband, Scott and Lynn Blake Thornton and fiancé, Ross Alcock and their children, Nathan Charles Blake Murray and Dillon Lee Thornton; nieces, Carrie Duncan, husband Wes and daughter, Genesis Payton Duncan and Misty Sanders, husband Scott and children, Zachary James Tenny Patrick, Scarlett Nicole Louise Patrick, Savanna Jeanell Kathleen Sanders, and Cheyenne Marie Lynn Sanders.
Susan was preceded in death by her father, Charles Blake; and sister, Terry Lynn Johnson.
