Funeral for Ryan Allen Price, 18, of Council Bluffs will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Cutler Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Clevenger, pastor of Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church, officiating.
Mr. Price died April 1 at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha.
He was born in Omaha and was a mid-term graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. He was employed in the kitchen at Harveys Casino. He was a member of Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Cindy and Dennis West, of Council Bluffs; his father, Duane A. Price, of Council Bluffs, Nichole Price, of Council Bluffs; a stepsister, Kristy West, of Council Bluffs; two stepbrothers, Matt West and Jason West, both of Council Bluffs; grandparents Alda Price and Andrew Pihl, both of Council Bluffs; a step-grandfather, Elmer West, of Corning; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
A memorials (sic) fund has been established.
Note: Ryan died from results of an auto accident at Lake Manawa. A witness says he saw Ryan slump over the steering wheel and his car then went down a steep, rocky embankment. His car overturned in the lake and he and passenger Nickolas Pogge, age 8, whom he was babysitting, drowned. Ryan was a senior at Thomas Jefferson High School.
