Gerald "Jet" E. Brenner, 65, died 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at his home. He was the husband of Barbara E. (Kramer) Brenner, with whom he celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary March 12, 2007. A viewing will be held Friday 6 to 8 p.m. at Workinger-Semmel F.H. and Crematorium, Inc., 849 E. Market St. Cremation will follow with a graveside service, Monday, April 23, at 1 p.m. at Prospect Hill Cemetery, with graveside military rites conducted by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Procession will form at 12:45 p.m. at the Pennsylvania Ave. entrance. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Jeffrey F. Wilt, pastor of Starview United Methodist Church. Mr. Brenner was born October 2, 1941, in York, the son of the late William K. and Dorothy (Sponseller) Brenner. Mr. Brenner was an operator with Waste Water Treatment Plant in York City for 29 years, prior to retirement. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, with 10 years active duty as a Specialist E5, discharged with total medical disability. He was a life member of West Manchester VFW Post 7374 and a life member of AMVETS Post 2000, Warm Mineral Springs, Fla., and member of Vietnam Brotherhood, N. Port, Fla. In addition to his wife, Mr. Brenner is survived by four daughters, Toni L. Hahn and husband, Barry of Greensboro, N.C., Christine M. Salisbury and husband, Charles of York, Kathryn T. Brenner of York, and Geraldine A. Rohrbaugh and husband, Thomas of Dover; five sons, Daniel R. DeCriscio, Jr., Daniel E. "Butch" Brenner, and Michael R. Brenner, all of York, John A. DeCriscio and wife, Lynne, and Eric E. Brenner and wife, Brandy, all of Dover; 28 grandchildren; and 12 greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, George "Blackie" Brenner; and a sister, Sandra Hampton.
