James "Jimmy" Earl Bryson Sr., 76 of 412 Hunter St. Seneca, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday Jan. 1st, 2018 at his home. He was born July 10, 1941 to Claude & Lula Skelton Bryson in Pickens, SC. He was married to Joan LeRoy Bryson of the home. He was a retired welder in the textiles industry. He was a member of Seneca Church of God. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, JR, RL, David Bryson, sister, Margaret Smith. He is survived by his spouse Joan LeRoy Bryson, sons, James Earl & Coleen Bryson, Jr., James Adams, daughters, Hannah & Scott Hardy, Joanie & David Donnan, brother, William Bryson, sister Patricia Collins. 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 2pm Thursday Jan. 4th, 2018 at Seneca Church of God with Rev. Brian Bellote, and Byron Fincannon officiating, with burial to follow in Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Wednesday Jan. 3, 2018 at the Brown-Oglesby Funeral Home. The family is accepting flowers or donations to the church.
