Betty M. Snelling, 83, of Mountain Top passed away Sunday at the Post Acute Care Unit in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late W. Foster and Mary Miller Barry.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Edward H. Snelling Sr.; sisters, Lillian Cora Ubanski and Mary Ayers; and a brother, Kenneth Barry.
Surviving are her children, Elaine Ferris and husband, Wesley, Connecticut; Betsy Burrill and husband, Roger, Canada; Kathryn Schaffer and husband, Richard, South Carolina;; and Edward Snelling Jr. and wife, Gertrude, Texas; her brother, Wilbur J. Barry, Mountain Top; and sisters, Jane Loken, Janet Barry and Joan Barry, all of Mountain Top; and Susan Barry, Wilkes-Barre. Ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning in St. Martin's in the Field Church, Mountain Top.
Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
